Sidekick is run by Joppe Hoof, Belgium. For anything about your data, email sidekick.rblx@gmail.com.
Who this is about
- Developers who make a Sidekick account. For your account data, we decide what's collected and why (we're the "controller").
- Players of games that use Sidekick. Their game's developer decides to use Sidekick; we only process their data for that developer (we're a "processor"). See our terms.
What we store about developers
- Email address and a one-way hash of your password. We can't see your password.
- Your game's name and the settings you make in the dashboard.
- If you add them: your AI API key and Discord webhook link, stored encrypted.
- If you connect Roblox analytics: either your Roblox API key, or the access tokens Roblox gives us when you tap Connect with Roblox, stored encrypted, plus the IDs and names of the games you picked. We only ask Roblox for read access to your game's analytics. Disconnecting deletes them and cancels the access on Roblox.
- When you agreed to these rules and that you confirmed you're 13 or older.
Why: to give you an account and run the service you asked for (contract).
What we store about players
- Roblox user ID (a number). We do not store usernames.
- The country Roblox reports for the player.
- When they join and leave, steps they reach, and purchases (item and price in Robux).
- Where players walk, as rough map squares, not linked to a player.
- Server script errors (no player data).
Why: so the developer can see statistics about their own game. We use it for nothing else.
Who else handles data
- Netlify hosts Sidekick and stores the data.
- Roblox, when we look up a user ID for a kick or ban the developer asks for, and when we fetch a developer's own analytics from Roblox after they connect it.
- The AI company a developer connects (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google), only when that developer asks the AI helper a question. It receives a summary of the game's statistics, not single players. On Google's free Gemini plan, Google may use what it receives to improve its products.
- Stripe (and its Link service), if a developer buys a paid plan. They handle the payment and taxes and receive the developer's email, country and payment details directly. We only receive the plan, its status and the renewal date, never card details.
- Discord, if a developer turns on alerts. Alerts contain game totals, not single players.
Some of these companies may process data outside the EU, under their own data protection agreements. We don't sell data and don't use it for ads.
How long we keep it
Game statistics are deleted automatically after 90 days. Account data is kept until you delete your account. When you delete your account in Settings, your account and all your game's data are deleted right away.
Age
You must be 13 or older to make a Sidekick account.
Your rights
You can see, export (CSV on the Updates tab), correct and delete your data. Players who want their data removed can ask the game's developer or email us. If you think we handle data wrongly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Sidekick is not made or endorsed by Roblox Corporation.
